Today I have two ways to embed a YouTube video in WordPress. Why should you do this in the first place?
By embedding YouTube videos in your blog posts, you can get more traffic to your website and expand your audience.
When you repurpose your blog posts into a video, you can expand your audience. Not everyone likes to read. You’ll reach more people who prefer to watch a video.
After you publish the video on YouTube, add your blog post link in the description. Then when people find your video on YouTube, they can click the link to visit your WordPress blog and voila – you get more traffic!

Embedding YouTube Videos in a WordPress Blog Post
There are 2 distinct ways to embed a YouTube video into WordPress. They each have their advantages.
Copy and Paste the YouTube URL into the Visual tab of your WordPress blog post.
This is the easiest way to embed the video from YouTube. Just copy the URL of the video and paste it into your blog post. The video will appear in the blog post but you have no control over it. For example, you cannot control the suggested videos that appear at the end.
Customize and Use the YouTube Video Embed Code
When you use the YouTube video embed code, there are a few customization features that you can take advantage of. One of those is “Show suggested videos when the video finished.”
You can deselect that to make your video go back to the beginning after it finishes playing.
